Why it's A Little Different
The sessions will be designed around collaboration rather than simply taking a fixed number of photographs as quickly as possible.
Images can be reviewed during the session, allowing participants to identify what is working and make informed adjustments before the shoot ends. Direction will focus on natural expression, posture and small variations that create a genuinely useful range.
Where practical, sessions will also offer a choice of simple background treatments, giving actors several professional options without distracting from the face.
Because headshots form part of the wider ALD programme, they can be arranged alongside workshops, showreel filming and other theatre activity rather than requiring a completely separate professional-development day.
How it works

Participants choose a session and provide brief information about the kinds of roles, casting range and presentation they want the photographs to support.

During the shoot, we work through a range of expressions, angles and framing while keeping the overall look natural and professional.

Images are reviewed as the session develops, helping participants recognise their strongest options rather than waiting until afterwards to discover what was captured.

A selection of chosen photographs is then professionally edited and supplied digitally.
