A LITTLE DIFFERENT
THEATRE SHOW
Three original short plays are performed twice in one evening: once in Act 1, fully rehearsed and realised; then again in Act 2 after the director selects one audience-led redirect. The result is a live demonstration of how actors, writers and directors respond under pressure when the creative terms of a piece are deliberately changed.

How it works

Three plays are selected.

Cast and director for each play rehearses independently in weeks leading up to the evening show.

The plays are performed as rehearsed in Act 1.

Immediately after the piece, the audience offers redirections for each piece.

The director selects one redirect.

The group reworks the piece backstage during the other performances.

All three plays are performed again A Little Different in Act Two.
Who it's for
The evening is designed for actors, writers and directors interested in creating short-form theatre, responding constructively to new direction and testing how a piece can change without losing its identity. It is also for audiences who want to engage more actively with theatre and see creative decisions develop in real time.
